Toothache: Give your child Tylenol or Motrin (swallow do not put on tooth). Apply Anbesol on tooth. Take child to a dentist as soon as possible.

Sore in mouth: Bland diet (avoid salty foods or acidic drinks). Orabase is a bandage like gel for use inside the mouth.

Broken/displaced tooth: Make an appointment with dentist if tooth is loose, has been moved to a new position (displaced) or is fractured.

Knocked out primary tooth: Do not put the tooth back in the mouth. You can stop the bleeding with pressure, bite on a cloth or gauze for a few minutes until the bleeding stops. Make an appointment with your pediatric dentist.

Knocked out permanent tooth: Time is very important here. Find the tooth and do not touch the root portion. Rinse any dirt off the tooth with water (do not scrub or wipe the root area) and replace it in it's hole in the mouth. If you are unable to put the tooth back in the mouth, then put it in milk. Get into the dentist as soon as possible.
